We're ALMOST to the fun part!!!

Charlie is now 12 weeks old...technically 3 months this week. All I keep telling myself was that once you hit the 3 month mark, it gets so much easier! I certainly hope so. lol. I hate complaining all the time, but this gets a little draining. I wonder sometimes if there's enough of myself to give these kids. And they both deserve 100% of me. Haley will be 18 months old on September 5th. That also happens to be our 1 year anniversary of moving to Arizona. And honestly, it was the best move we ever could've made. Arizona has turned into home. Don't get me wrong...I MISS our Independence friend and family so bad. But, we've been fortunate enough to have friends/family come visit every few months & we've been back a few times. That helps a lot.

So, these kiddos are growing up so stinkin fast! Charlie is growing at a freakishly high speed. And I don't just mean his size. He uses his hands now, sits up in his Bumbo, and recently started sitting in an exersaucer. He will (most likely) be our last baby, so I'm trying to soak it all in. He is a miniature version of his daddy (temper & all!!!), and I couldn't love him more. He has the chunkiest cheeks & most beautiful eyes ever! At least once a day I hear how beautiful his eyelashes are (again...from his daddy!)

And I don't know where to start with Haley. Every single day she learns something new. It's truly amazing. One day, it's a word...the next it's how to open something. lol. She's so so so smart. I know all parents think that their kids are super smart, but I really think she is. I mean, I catch her trying to sing along with my ringtones!!!!! She's entered into this picky eater stage, which drives me crazy! The funny thing is, we can get her to eat carrots, celery, fruit, mixed nuts, whole grain anything....but only in little quantities. The macaroni & hotdogs are being boycotted. She eats so little & it breaks my heart how little she is. She has the Goodwillie/Powell legs (which I'm totally jealous of), but I can't help but think that I should be trying harder to get her to eat. I think a lot of her problem is how active she is. She's ALWAYS moving!!! Recently she's become obsessed with the movie Rio, and it's so stinkin cute. When I show her the movie, she says, "Reeeeeeeeeeo". lol. She'll sit for a good 20 minutes to watch that. lol

So basically I have these two amazing babies, made with this really amazing man. He loves more & treats me better than I deserve. I never knew when I met him 7 years ago that he would be my soulmate. Anyone who knows the "Steve Goodwillie" pre-Becky knows that he was so different than the way he is now. And sometimes I miss that fun, crazy Steve. But the guy I'm married to, and takes care of his family, is soooooo amazing. We are so lucky to have him :-)
